Strong Beginnings
Strong Beginnings is a focus community in the Logan Together Collective and encompasses the suburbs of
Yarrabilba and Logan Village.
Shaped by the people who live here, the Strong Beginnings Community Collective plan is all about creating a brighter future for children and families now and for generations to come.
Yarrabilba and Logan Village is home to around 25,000 residents. We have 15 outcomes that our community has told us are important and these lead our efforts. The top priorities community would like to work on first are for families to have access to quality healthy food, for our community members to be physically and mentally healthy, to have accessible and connected local health and wellbeing services, for culture to be visible in community, for children to engage in learning in a way that works for them and for our children to be secure in their sense of self.
Yarrabilba 18,000 and rapidly growing - Logan Village 6,010. Just 7 minutes drive and connected by our local rail trail, Yarrabilba is one of the newest developments in Logan and Logan Village is one of Queensland's oldest settlements. Yarrabilba and Logan Village are well connected communities - blending modern growth with country charm, rich history, and welcoming natural spaces where community members come together.

Our Voices, Our Choices
In April 2024, we began a series of voice collection in our community. The exercise, called 1,000 Voices, aimed
to draw on the wisdom of our community with the purpose of having a collective approach to addressing the
needs of children aged 0-8 years old. We called it, Our Voices, Our Choices.
We are coming together as a collective of locals, co-designing and implementing ways to see every child in
Yarrabilba and Logan Village have every opportunity to be the very best they can be. Our big goal is to see our
children happy and healthy for generations to come.
We believe that the only way this can be achieved is to listen to community and work together with the
community.
By November 2024, our team had collected voices from 453 people in and around Yarrabilba and Logan Village.
