1000 Voices
1000 Voices
1000 Voices was one of the ways Logan Together listened deeply to families, children and community.
It invited people across Logan to share their hopes, ideas, experiences and concerns about what children need to grow up happy, healthy and thriving. The process helped make sure the voices of community were not just heard, but used to shape the shared work for Logan’s children and families.
Through conversations, surveys, takeaway cards and community engagement tools, families and community members told us what mattered most to them. These voices were brought together with local knowledge, data and evidence to help guide collective action.
How it worked
We listened with purpose
Families, children and community members were invited to share what life was like for them, what they hoped for Logan’s children, and what they thought needed to change.
We created safe ways for people to share
The process was designed to support honest and respectful conversations. People could share their views while knowing their privacy would be protected.
We looked for the patterns in what community told us
The voices collected through 1000 Voices were reviewed and grouped into key themes. This helped us understand what families were saying across different places, cultures and experiences.
We used what we heard to guide the work
In collective impact, community voice is central to building a shared direction. 1000 Voices helped Logan Together and our partners understand what mattered most, where change was needed, and where we could work better together.
We shared back what community said
The process helped create an important feedback loop with community: we asked, you told us, and this is what we heard.
1000 Voices remains an important part of the Logan Together story. It reminds us that lasting change for children and families must be shaped with community, grounded in local voices, and held by the people who know Logan best.
